It's Still Hot Here

As a side note...this maxi is hiked up to under my boobs and is still this long!!

This is one of the worst times to be an Arizonian (or whatever the heck they call us). Probably sucks in Texas too...and Florida.   The calendar tells me its Fall, but the weather is still screaming Summer.  What to do, what to do.

Sorry sweaters and boots, you are just going to have to wait patiently in my closet for your turn...because I refuse to roast.  Weather wins in AZ sadly, weather always wins.

I am loving seeing all the cool weather wear on other blogs though and dreaming of how I will style my new things once it drops some degrees in my neck of the woods!

XO,
Alyssa

  1. Girl, you look pretty skinny in that outfit. So cute!
I'm in Portland right now -- the weather is fabulous -- cool and sunny. I'm hoping the AZ weather will be cooler by next week when I return home :)

  3. And Arkansas ... sucks here, too. In the 90s all week.
Early mornings have a hint of coolness, but not for long.

Very cute and hopeful transition look for you! Nice you're enjoying this skirt just a little longer. Those little delicate necklaces bring the eye right back to your pretty face! I wouldn't have thought it, but they also work dandy with the bigger bracelet and gold watch. Pretty smart, kiddo.

To console myself, I'm wearing only my very favorite hot weather pieces ... nothing that I'm not completely in love with. Then I try to add a light weight bootie, or a closed suede heel,or a slightly more fall-like pant just as consolation. If I have to, I fall back on just my summery sandals that I love best ... the "meh" ones are all put away.

As I write all this, I know I'm going to moaning in February for spring weather. And I'm at an age where I shouldn't be too anxious to hurry my years along!

    1. Ah Annette, if only we could package the weather and ship it where we want it! That and the teleportation device and I would be all set! ;o) Thanks for being here!

  5. I absolutely agree! I think it's about this time of year each year that I start thinking we may need to move somewhere cooler. I need fall to show up soon and remind me why I put up with summers like this.

Fantastic outfit! It looks relaxed and comfortable - not too dressed up, not too casual. Total perfection!

    1. LOL...luckily its on the way, we don't have too much longer to wait before we are whining about how we miss the heat. Never fails.

  6. Yes, major sucking going on in FL. It won't start to cool off until at least the end of November, and that's if we're lucky!
